As a member-run organization, BGN relies on the generosity of sponsors to help defray the costs of BGN activities, such as contest prizes for monthly outings and the annual Corporate Challenge golf tournament.

Sponsoring the Biotech Golf Network can proivde your company with name recognition and visibility among life sicences professionals and companies. There are currently more than 300 people on the mailing list and monthly outings bring out an average of 24 players each month. The Corporate Challenge, BGN's annual one-day, team tournament, attracts more than 130 people each year.

Companies and individuals have two options for sponsoring the Biotech Golf Network: either as a monthly golf outing sponsor or as a Corporate Challenge sponsor.

Corporate Challenge Sponsors
The Corporate Challenge is BGN's annual one-day, team tournament. Teams of four compete for either the BGN Biotech Cup or BGN Vendor Cup. Trophies are awarded to the biotech company and vendor company with the lowest score. Additionally, prizes are awarded for specific hole contests, such as closest to the pin and longest drive. The tournament includes lunch, dinner, and the 19th Hole awards banquet and prize give aways. The 2007 tournament was held at Maderas Golf Club on November 2, 2007, with a 12:30 shotgun start.

Corporate Challenge Sponsorships

The Corporate Challenge brings out more than 130 people from the biomedical community. The 2005, 2006, & 2007 tournaments attracted players from biotech and pharmaceutical companies such as Amylin, Diversa, Therafuse, Acadia, Ambit, and Invitrogen.

One of the things that makes the Corporate Challenge so fun for everyone involved is the sponsorship support we receive from local companies. Sponsors provide either monetary donations or actual prize donations. We receive contributions from the smallest firms to the largest - It's all about creating a great tournament at a reasonable price for BGN participants. 

Each sponsor is recognized for their specific contribution in event email announcements, during the tournament and at the 19th Hole tournament party. To protect the privacy of our members, BGN does not provide member lists, or special pairings or introductions to specific members.

Monthly Golf Sponsors
Monthly sponsorship covers the cost of hole contest prizes. Generally there are 4 contests per outing: Two longest drive contests, and two closest to the pin contests. Sponsorships are a minimum of $200 and can be provided either as a cash donation or actual contest prizes (min of $50/each). Companies can choose to sponsor one or more monthly outings.
